Events

Dress up as a scarecrow and join us for a one-half mile stroll through Downtown Madison followed by a Tailgate Showdown competition and Awards Party at the Madison the City Welcome Center. Grand Marshal will be Master Potter Robert Pickenpaugh. The Stroll will leave at 3:00 pm from Main Street at the railroad track, proceed through The Village at Madison residential and retail areas and conclude at the Welcome Center/Business Network office, 2023 Main Street.

The Tailgate cooking competition will follow the Scarecrow Stroll. Vote for your favorite tailgate dish from 3:30-5:00 pm.  Dance to the DJ’s rocking tunes while the youngsters play in the Kids Zone at The Village at Madison.  Awards will be given at 5:00 pm.

The public will choose a winner in each of these categories: appetizer/side, main, and dessert. Additionally, an overall Spirit Award will be chosen by the voters for the tent with the best spirit, decorations, and crowd involvement.
